
It is normal that Adobe’s support for MacBook Pro Retina is delayed, since they are quite complex to update.

We expect to update the following products with HiDPI support, free to all CS6 and Creative Cloud customers, in the coming months: In the second post they add that they hope to support most of the applications they offer for OS X: Photoshop Elements will not fully support HiDPI displays for the foreseeable future, however the team is investigating the effort required to support these new displays. Please note that Creative Cloud members will receive Photoshop updates more frequently and will receive this update before the update for non-members.

Supporting this new technology requires a lot of work for our product development teams and we have committed to providing a free upgrade to all Photoshop CS6 customers this fall and Lightroom 4 as soon as the work is complete.
